You're finally ready to get your living room in order. You've been thinking about it for a while, and you know that once you do, you're going to feel so much better. But how do you actually go about arranging your living room?
It's easy! Here are four steps:
1. Take stock of your living room: What do you have? How much space do you have? How much furniture can fit into each part of the room?
2. Start with one area of the room—the coffee table, bookshelf, or tv cabinet: Clear away everything that isn't actually part of that area (for example, if your coffee table is cluttered with magazines and remote controls, clear those things away first). Then decide what furniture needs to go where in order for the area to be functional and pleasing to look at.
3. Arrange the furniture in its new place: If some pieces don't quite fit as well as they might have if they were placed differently, move them around until they do fit comfortably into their new arrangement (or until you get tired of moving them).
4. Formal: If you want to create an air of formality in your living room, consider adding a large sofa or armchair by placing it against the wall instead of in the center of the room. This will give others more space to move around without feeling crowded by sofa set placement. Additionally, consider using dark colors like black or browns so that light colors don't reflect off surfaces and cause glare; this will make it easier to see objects clearly on shelves or tables without needing additional lighting sources nearby (like lamps).
